Respect India Honors Elders on World Elders Day

On the occasion of World Elders Day, Respect India organized a meaningful community celebration in Wazirabad village to honor and recognize the invaluable contributions of senior citizens to society. The event was a tribute to the wisdom, traditions, and lived experiences of the elderly. The program was graced by Mr. Dharmendra Kumar as the Chief Guest, who praised the elders as “living symbols of culture and experience who guide the younger generations even in silence.” He emphasized the importance of building a society where senior citizens are treated with the dignity they deserve. Mr. Nilotpal Mrinal, acclaimed author and social voice, was present as the Special Guest. He highlighted the emotional and cultural value of connecting with our elders and urged the youth to learn from their stories and struggles. "A society that respects its elders lays the strongest foundation for humanity," he said. During the event, elders from the village and nearby areas were respectfully felicitated with shawls and tokens of appreciation. Cultural performances and heartfelt interactions added warmth and meaning to the celebration. This initiative is part of Respect India's broader mission to create a compassionate and inclusive community that honors the elderly and promotes intergenerational respect
