Moscow has been chosen as a key venue for this celebration to acknowledge the city’s deep emotional and cultural bond with Indian cinema. During the Soviet era and beyond, Raj Kapoor’s films such as Awara and Shree 420 captivated generations of Russian audiences, fostering a profound admiration for India’s artistic spirit and its people. This celebration will rekindle those memories while highlighting the continuing cultural exchange between India and Russia.
